Who I Am

By the time I turned 30, I had already dedicated about 10 years of my life to being a professional helper.

I started studying photography as a college freshman in Austin, Texas, and in my sophomore year, I shifted my studies to Social Work. In the years that followed, I worked as a crisis worker with organizations such as the National Domestic Violence Hotline and the Suicide Prevention Lifeline. After 5 years in crisis work, it was time for a change. I completed Sacred Doula Training in 2018 and started volunteering as a birth doula later that year. I have since attended over 200 births! Doula work is such a dream come true for me because I get use my unique skillset while also giving back in a way that is so needed in our world. Simply put, I enthusiastically choose to follow this calling so that I can help more people have more satisfying birth experiences.
